STOP AIDS Launches Crystal Meth Website
The STOP AIDS Project, San Francisco (http://www.stopaids.org),
is
sponsoring the creation of a new web site to address the widespread use
of crystal methamphetamine and its effects on AIDS prevention and
education efforts. The new site will include general info on speed,
scientific resources, safer sex and risk management issues, upcoming
events dealing with speed, listings of support services; and interactive
elements, including a question and answer bulletin board and the
"talking wall", an innovative outreach program STOP AIDS employed
to
elicit community feedback on this epidemic within the epidemic. In order
to ensure that the new web site is as comprehensive and
user-friendly as possible, STOP AIDS invites other CBOs, support
groups, researchers, etc. who have published materials on crystal which
could enhance the site to send us any contributions for possible
inclusion. All submissions will be reviewed by staff and, if accepted,
appropriate credit will be given. If you have published materials on
speed on an existing web site, we would be pleased to provide links to
those pages.
