Community Advisory Board (CAB)

volunteers

Talk to your friends and spread the word throught your social and sexual networks...no commitment needed.

Give input to make our programs look like you want ‘em.  Got a suggestion for a workshop topic?  How about a new bar or event that we should hit during outreach?  Join other community members and STOP AIDS staff to guide HIV prevention efforts specific to each sexual network.

Training Required:
CAB members must have experience in the network they are representing. Attending the Peer Health Activist Training (PHAT) is highly recommended.

Time Commitment:
CAB members meet with STOP AIDS staff once a month for dinner.

Where:
Locations throughout San Francisco.

What you get:
An opportunity to really have your voice be heard and affect the direction of HIV prevention in San Francisco. Additionally, all STOP AIDS volunteers are invited to special volunteer events throughout the year.

How this position helps:
CAB’s help us guide our HIV Prevention efforts to each sexual network and help us stay on top of emerging issues in the community.
