Positive Force

volunteers

Positive Force is a community driven program  by and for HIV+ men providing social events, discussion groups, book clubs, and community forums. All Positive Force events are designed and implemented by a group of HIV+ volunteers.

Training Required:
Attending the Peer Health Activist Training (PHAT) and Positive Living for Us (PLUS) seminar are highly encouraged.

Time Commitment:
Most Positive Force events happen once a month, with a few happening twice a month. With so much going on, volunteers can be really involved or pick and choose what to participate in.

Where:
At our Main Office as well as other locations in San Francisco.

What you get:
An opportunity to meet and socialize with other HIV+ men in San Francisco as well as design and implement new events for HIV+ men. Additionally, all STOP AIDS volunteers are invited to special volunteer events throughout the year.

How this position helps:
Positive Force helps positive men take an active role in their health and HIV prevention as well as serves as a primary entry point for service referrals, education, social support, and community involvement.
